Once upon a time, there were two best friends named Lily and Sarah. They did everything together – they played at recess, ate lunch together, and even had sleepovers on the weekends. They were inseparable. One day, Lily noticed that Sarah was feeling sad. She asked her what was wrong, and Sarah explained that she was feeling left out because some other kids in their class were not including her in their games. Lily knew how important friendships were, so she decided to help Sarah feel better. Lily invited Sarah to join in on their games and made sure to include her in everything they did. She also talked to the other kids in their class and asked them to include Sarah, too. Before long, Sarah was feeling happy again and was back to being her usual joyful self. Lily realized that friendships are like plants – they need love and care to grow strong. She made a promise to always nurture her friendships and make sure that her friends felt included and loved. From that day on, Lily and Sarah's friendship grew even stronger. They learned that being there for each other and supporting one another was what friendship was all about. And they knew that as long as they took care of their friendship, it would last a lifetime.
